Accreditation Information

Recognized Accrediting Agencies

The American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) recognizes the Accreditation Committee for Perfusion Education (AC-PE) in cooperation with the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The official accrediting agency for perfusion programs in Canada is EQualTM Canada, a branch of Accreditation Canada and the Health Standards Organization.

Eligibility for ABCP examinations requires attendance and graduation from an AC-PE accredited perfusion program in the U.S. or an EQualTM Canada accredited perfusion program in Canada.
